The local village
In the village is a good local pub, 'The Hero', which does good traditional food. You will have to book during high season. Also within the village are tennis courts which you can hire, along with long wonderful walks, no car needed!
Burnham Market
Burnham Market is a lovely village, with good restaurants. Socius and North St Bistro are our favourites, but you will have to book nearly all year round, both closed in Jan. There are also other cafes and restaurants, some very good fashion shops and much more.
Holkham Hall
Holkham Hall is 3 miles away, and has many events, plus cafes and stunning walks! Although make sure to check the opening times of the house. It also has a stunning (and very famous) beach, used in many films.
Houghton Hall
Houghton Hall is one we absolutely love at Crabclaw! If gardening is your passion,  make sure to admire their spectacular walled garden (although make sure you check the opening times). Houghton also hosts art installations every summer that are well worth visiting.
Sheringham Park
Despite having no house, Sheringham Park does host some spectacular walks within its grounds, especially when the rhododendrons are out. Also worth visiting is the nearby Blickling Estate breathtaking mansion, gardens and park, in Norfolk's Bure Meadows, cared for by the National Trust!
Nearby walks
If you like bird watching, cycling and walking there are great paths starting right from the creak. Crabclaw is uniquely positioned within a 2-minute walk from the local beach. With boats, salt marshes, sand dunes and peace - what more could you ask for?
